Seems like comment spam has got a season too. Just a month or so back I use get a lot of comment spam. These spam ranges from unwanted advertisements to hopeless long article on some product. I tried so hard to get rid of these spam comments by using many anti-spam plugins but I could not a very effective solution.
But now, things seem to have changes a bit. I am not getting much comment spam now-a-days. Though I have installed a combination of a couple of WordPress Anti-spam plugins, but I still don’t know the exact reason. So, seems like Spam has got a season and now the season is over. I am quite relief and I hope I will not get comment spams now. But who knows, the spam season will come again. So, be prepared, because spam will never stop; we need to fight them.
