A newbie webmaster in one of the webmasters discussion forum yesterday asked me “What is a Sitemap?”. Well, a Sitemap is simply like a chart that you will present in front of the search engine spiders when they visit your site. These chart acts like a map to your website so that the Search Engine spiders can easily navigate through each of your web-pages and index them properly.
When we create this sitemap specifically for Google, then we call it a Google Sitemap. Google support sitemaps in the xml format. So, you will need to create a xml sitemap in order to make it function properly. There are lot of Google sitemap generators available in the internet today. You can either create an xml sitemap online thought any FREE online sitemap creation service or you can use a desktop sitemap generator application.
Once your sitemap is created, you need to upload it to your website. Then you will need to visit the Google webmasters section and submit your sitemap information there. You will be guided through the process by a wizard and it should not take much time. That’s all. Now you can wait for Google spiders to visit your site and index each and every pages of your website!
There has been many marketing strategy that I have followed and one among them that gave me a very good result is the myspace marketing strategy. There are many myspace marketing strategies but I am going to tell you what exactly I did and how I could gain many visitors into my site in just a couple of few days of promotion.
One method that people generally use is the myspace bulletin and myspace comments with a link to your site which you want to promote. But I am not very comfortable with this method. It looks quite spammy when someone comments on my profile with a link containing some crapy contents. I don’t even bother to click these links now-a-days and I think same case is with others. So, comments and bulletins are becoming less effective these days.
What I did that brought me some really good amount of traffic is to put a link on my profile and make it a nit visible. Don’t put adult or abusive links or you may get banned. I put links with a tag like “My website - please visit!” etc. Now once you get this link on your profile, you can directly start sending out friend requests. People will see you adding them and while checking out your profile, they usually will check out your site. And if your site is good enough, they will browse through it and there you get traffic to your website! Isn’t that a simple traffic strategy. But I have seen a very positive response from many people and you can try this out too!
I have been trying to create a publication and I have run through many publishing tips that I want to share with my readers. Well, the first thing is to know why you are writing the book. Are you writing for memories or are you writing about some great information that people will run after. Is your intention to grab a bestseller title? So, make a goal because all you will need to write according to that.
Next tip is treat book or ebook publishing as a business and think yourself like a professional. You are not just a writer but a publisher who aim in writing profitable books. Next, know your audience and write a business plan. This is crucial, because unless you know whom you are targeting, you will be able to deliver what he readers want. Write about subjects that you know best because unless you something very well, you will not be able to effectively deliver useful information to your readers.
Last, but not the least, you need to plan for the marketing of the book. Whether it be online or offline, you will need to market the book and you need a market strategy for that. You can have the best book in the world, but if no one knows about it, no one will buy it. You main target should be to sell the books, not just publish them.

Having too many deadlines may leave you tearing your hair out but may make someone else feel completely organised and less stressed. We feel stressed because of how we personally perceive the situation. Are you stressed because you view things are critical or urgent when that may not be the case? Are you feeling pressure because you are a perfectionist? Try and be more moderate in your view and put the situation into perspective. Get someone else’s perspective on the situation and compare with your own. Are you being over dramatic?
Learn relaxation and deep breathing techniques that will slow down your racing heart, improve your breathing and relax those tense muscles. Learn to smile and laugh more. It’s hard to be angry and stressed while you’re laughing. Don’t live up to other expectations, as these will not be in alignment with your own needs and values. Hang around upbuilding and supportive friends or co-workers. Find someone to share your concerns with. Also learn to ask for and accept help. And be Happy all the Time!
People say that learning from our own mistakes is the best form of learning. Because you can hardly forget your hard time you had when you made those mistakes. Something like that just happened to me a few days ago and of course I have learned a lesson.
After much energy spent on so many ebooks and guides on making money, I decided that I should start up affiliate marketing now. Many people are earning quite a good living out of it. A few of my friends who started out on the internet earning ventures are earning quite well from some internet affiliate programs. But I could hardly get enough time out of college and start concentrating on any big program.
Anyway, at last I decided and signed up for an affiliate marketing account. I tried sending a lot of emails to their customer care and at last got one reply saying that my Country was not allowed to join the program and he pointed a link to their Terms of Service. Well, I of course missed to read the TOS and that was my mistake.
So, first tip from this mistake: Always read the Terms before signing for any Program in the internet, especially when you are expecting something good!

For anyone who wants to begin creating a podcast, podcast hosting is the most important part. Before anyone can begin distributing a podcast, they need a place to store the files and keep the feed file that will tell their subscribers about the new episodes available. The first thing required is a domain name where the site will be located. Many domain registrars are available who will help one register a domain name for a small fee. Once the domain is registered, hosting is required, and again there are many different companies willing to do the hosting for a small fee. One of those is bluehost.com, but many others are available. When looking for a host, the most important thing is to make sure that a lot bandwidth and storage space is available and cheap. Since podcasting deals with large media files, a lot of disk space will be taken up storing the files and bandwidth will be eaten quickly when they are downloaded by the subscribers.
After podcast hosting has been acquired, it needs to be used and the site needs to be set up. The DNS addresses of the site need to be set to the addresses that the host provides you so that the servers that underlie the internet will know where your site is. DNS addresses can be set by going to the domain registrar that was used to acquire the domain and inputting the addresses provided by the host.
